Wan 3.0: Prompt Guide
Make your first Wan 3.0 clip, from the first prompt to a 1080p render
Tutorial
Overview
Wan 3.0 turns a prompt, a still or a set of references into a clip of up to 30 seconds with its own soundtrack. This walkthrough takes one idea from a first draft to a finished 1080p render.
Before you start
- Decide where the clip will live, because that sets the shape: 16:9 for a hero, 9:16 for a story, 1:1 for a feed.
- Gather anything the shot should match — a face, a room, a track — so you can attach it.
1. Pick the way in
Omni writes the shot from a prompt and whatever you attach. Frames animates a still toward an optional last frame. Edit reworks a clip you already have; the clip you attach and the render share one 30-second budget.
2. Write the shot as beats
Describe the scene once, then split the action into timed beats — 0–3s, 3–7s, 7–10s — with one action in each. If you attached references, @mention each one where it is used.
3. Write the sound
Add a line for sound: the ambience, the effects and any music. Turn Audio off when you plan to score the clip yourself.
4. Draft fast, then finish
Run the first takes on Wan 3.0 Prime, the faster option in the Model menu, at 480p or 720p to judge the pacing and the sound. When a take works, re-run it at 1080p.
