How it works
Refer
Send us their résumé or LinkedIn, the role, and why they'd be great — before they apply on their own.
We review
Our recruiting team logs your referral, confirms it's eligible, and keeps you posted.
They interview
Your referral moves through Pika's standard evaluation loop — under 3–4 hours of interviews.
You get paid
When they're hired and start, your bonus is scheduled — half on day one, half at three months.

Final tier is confirmed by the hired candidate's role and closing compensation. Full-time roles only.
The ground rules
Who can refer
- Any individual, 18 or older, referring in a personal capacity.
- Anyone able to receive the payment as independent income and provide valid tax details (e.g. a W-9 for U.S. persons).
- Referrals submitted before the candidate applies independently or is contacted by our team.
Who can't
- Current Pika employees, interns, or contractors — you have your own internal program.
- Staffing, recruiting, or search agencies, or anyone acting on their behalf.
- The candidate themselves, or anyone involved in Pika's hiring decision for the role.
How you're paid
Paid after your referral's first day of full-time employment at Pika.
Paid once they complete three months, provided they're still actively employed.
Bonuses are paid as independent-contractor income — a 1099 is issued to U.S. referrers — not through payroll. You're responsible for any applicable taxes.
