Pika 2.5: Prompt Guide
Animate a photo or write a shot from scratch with Pika 2.5
Tutorial
Overview
Pika 2.5 makes a clip from a prompt alone or from a single photo. This walkthrough covers both, from the first prompt to a 1080p render.
Before you start
- If you have a photo, choose one that already looks right. The still sets the subject, the framing and the grade.
- Decide the length: a prompt on its own renders five seconds; a photo renders five or ten.
1. Start from a prompt or a photo
Leave the attachment empty to write the shot from nothing, or attach one image to animate it.
2. Describe the motion
With nothing attached, write the whole shot: subject, setting, camera move, lens language and grade. With a photo attached, describe only what moves — the breeze in the grass, a turn of the head, a slow push-in.
3. Set the output
Render at 720p while you explore and at 1080p for the take you keep.
4. Add sound afterwards
Pika 2.5 renders silent clips. Score the finished cut with Pika Soundtrack.
